I just got back from a week in Las Vegas and had to reflect on my trip. A destination for about forty-six million people each year, Las Vegas is certainly a hot spot. And despite it’s over the top sensibilities, which sometimes seem kitsch, Vegas definitely has style. I wanted to highlight a couple of great things from my trip that I not only loved, but that inspired the interior designer in me.
is oh so glamorous. My husband and I saw her in concert the second night we were in the Vegas. I love her Hollywood
glam, with that mix of a rock/hip-hop vibe. Her eclectic look makes you wonder – how does she pull it off and look so gorgeous? I would love to see what Gwen’s home looks like (Instyle
Homes?). I’m sure it would be uniquely her and absolutely awe inspiring.
Of course in Vegas food is also a show stopper. I enjoyed everything I tried at Wolfgang Puck’s Bar & Grill
at the MGM Grand
. Even more, I loved the dining area. A sophisticated room with a mostly white palette
, the decor was as eye-catching
as the food.
KA was my first Cirque Du Soleil show, and truly incredible. All about duality, with a style that went from Parisian circus, to rock and roll stage, to Asian inspired drama, it was a show I will never forget.
While I didn’t gamble, I love this picture from Four Blank Walls
. The British company is all about contemporary art for the modern pad. I love this “Casino” piece. Bright neon lights against a vintage movie marquee backdrop. Now, that’s Vegas!
