New York Blog Tour Part I: Brooklyn Boutiques

I am so happy to be back and blogging again. I had an incredible trip to the East Coast. New York was more fun than ever. I went absolutely everywhere, from Soho, to Madison Avenue, to cute Brooklyn neighborhoods like Cobble Hill. I promised you photos from some of my favorite shops, and here they are.

Here are just three of the wonderful boutiques that you must visit next time you’re in Brooklyn:

teddy

1. teddy. This shop has it all. Perfect dresses for Spring weather, a nicely edited selection of jewelry and accessories, and shoes like the cute ones above that I just had to have, bought, and walked out of the store in. If you’re looking for what to wear in New York, you have to visit this Cobble Hill shop.

Home & Haven

2. Home & Haven. My sister and I just happened upon this shop only a few blocks from teddy. Offering pieces for every room in your home, from modern decor for the kitchen and bathroom to some of my favorite tabletop items, Home & Haven is a great source for life’s little luxuries. The shop staff is also friendly and easygoing. A great place to go in, have wonderful conversation, and pick up a little something special just for you.

Layla

3. Layla. A shop that I have been waiting to visit for so long after reading about it in Domino, Layla did not disappoint. Pictures speak a thousand words, and when you walk into this quaint little shop on Hoyt street, it is like walking into a photograph. Bright, colorful, and absolutely pristine, Layla offers textiles in the most amazing hues and textures. You are sure to find something unique in this shop, and will leave with something you never knew that you always wanted. From beautifully embroidered pillows, to throws, duvets and even bath towels, Layla has something to make every home feel extra special. I will definitely be back next time I visit New York.

There are hundreds of boutiques in Brooklyn, and that makes for an exciting shopping experience. You never know what you’re going to find in a cute little shop, but you are sure to find something absolutely incredible every time you visit. I could only cover just a few of my favorite boutiques, but if you know of other stores that readers should visit, please let us know in the comments section. And be sure to come back tomorrow for Part II of the New York Blog Tour with an article on the wonderful Calypso Home.

Maleeka is a quaint boutique with great indian pieces of clothing and fabulous jewelry…esp. the wooden and copper bracelets. Cupcakes are th size of yuur head and a must have at Downtown Atlantic, and lunch/brunch at Stans Place is fab!!
