Happy Friday!

The Shoot Factory

I have had this photo in my archives for some time. I like the blend of cultures and traditions. A Hindu God, African headdress, and European vase come together harmoniously atop this traditional marble table. It’s amazing how such diverse items can come together with a carefully crafted color scheme of white, black and subtle pink.

Ethnic interiors can be so inspiring, showing us the incredible possibilities in blending styles from around the world. If you are as inspired as I am by global style, you must visit the Flickr group Ethnic Inspired Interiors started by Kay* from Decorating From Scratch. There are so many lovely photos to peruse, showcasing how ethnic design can become a beautiful part of daily life.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks Freshly Found. I did find a porcupine quill lampshade! Your friend was nice enough to point me in the right direction. It will get here in a few weeks, and I will definitely blog about it. Thank you so much for your help!
