Be Inspired: Kareem Iliya

Kareem Iliya

The weather has turned considerably cold here in San Francisco, and I feel the need to be inspired. There is nothing more inspirational than the work of illustrator Kareem Iliya.

His fashion illustrations seem to transcend the typical pen and ink drawings. Mastering watercolours and inks, Iliya takes us to a place that is both elegant and mysterious. His graceful silhouettes asking us to draw closer to the world he has created on paper.

I love, love, love his work. I first saw it in a fashion illustration book years ago. I totally cut the pages out and framed them! The lines and color just amaze me.

I have inquired about them, and the prints are not for sale yet. A new site will be up later this year with a host of illustrations, including some by Kareem Iliya. I will be sure to announce it on the blog when prints are available. Thanks for your question!
