Chic Finds

I hope that you are getting ready for a wonderful weekend. Mine is sure to be a fun and beautiful weekend here in San Francisco. One of my very best friends is getting married tomorrow, and I couldn’t be more excited for her! And on Sunday I’m going with a girlfriend to see Mamma Mia. I’ll be screaming Dancing Queen from the top of my lungs. And of course this evening I will be glued in front of my TV watching the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics. Something that I wait for and truly enjoy when it comes around every four years.

But before I get started on my weekend, here are a few chic finds just for you.

Many of you know Joy from the blog Oh Joy!, and you’re probably familiar with her beautiful stationery line, Nantaka Joy. Well, you’re in for a treat, as Joy is having an end of summer special. You can receive a free note card with any purchase until August 15th.

And for your weekend reading, you have to check out the new blog by one of my favorite artists – Dallas Shaw. I have several Dallas Shaw prints in my apartment. She is such a talent. Her new blog will invite you into her process, as she provides a look into upcoming work that will then be available for sale in her etsy shop.

And, if you want to catch up on what happened this week on AphroChic, here’s your weekly wrap-up:
– Explore the blend of modern and traditional style at MODA.
– A peak into CB2 San Francisco.
– The work of Spanish artist Xelya.
LightenUp with sculptural lighting.

P.S. – I’m so sorry I haven’t been able to reply to comments over the past week, but I promise I will be back and responding soon. And please keep commenting! I love hearing your thoughts and opinions.

You have a great weekend too! I heard that the Opening Ceremony at the Olympics was incredible. It already happened in China, but I will be happy to watch it tonight. I just love the fanfare.
