Outside the Box: An Attic Apartment

I absolutely love when people think outside the box. Coming up with creative solutions to transform your home can be a challenge, but when it’s done just right the results can be truly amazing. As a city dweller I am constantly coming up with ways to use space creatively – turning a closet into an office; a nook into a library; and allowing my open plan living and dining room to act as party room, guest room and studio at times.

After perusing Living Etc., I was struck by the beautiful attic apartment of Milan lighting designer Pier Lorenzo Salvone. Pier and his siblings converted a large country home into three distinct apartments. The end result – a slick city pad that exists in the attic of a converted country house.
