AphroChic in Nesting Newbies Issue No. 4!

Bloggers gathered for a modern Moroccan feast.

As a blogger, I have had some wonderful experiences.  I get to share what I love with so many incredible people each week, and every day that I write on this blog is so fulfilling.  On a gorgeous day in June I got to celebrate how wonderful it is to be a blogger with a group of bloggers from the Bay Area. We met at the Thomas Fogarty Winery in Woodside, CA for an afternoon retreat and photo shoot for Nesting Newbies Magazine.  The day was one I will never forget, and it is featured in the new issue of Nesting Newbies!

I’m on right hand corner enjoying a glass of wonderful wine.

The group was wonderful and included women who I truly admire – Rebecca Orlov, Co-founder of Blog Out Loud; Erin Feher, Associate Editor of California Home & Design Magazine, and Anne Sage, Co-founder of the soon-to-be-released Rue Magazine.

My husband, Bryan Mason, is enjoying the delicious meal Chef Lea prepared.
(the recipe for the kabobs is in the magazine!)

My wonderful husband was also able to join us for the shoot.  He spent time assisting on the set, and even got a credit with the culinary team in the latest issue!  You can see him in the photo above at the farm table.  There are also some great behind-the-scenes and blogger features on NestingNewbies.com.

Carleigh, Lily and I are enjoying a beautiful day in Northern California.

This weekend, I hope you take some time out to read the latest issue of Nesting Newbies.  You will be inspired by the many amazing and talented people that are featured this month.  I am just honored to be among them.  Thank you Jodi and Lea for inviting me!

Have a wonderful holiday weekend everyone!  I will see you back here on Tuesday.
