An Anthology Crafting Event at Anthropologie

I am back from an amazing two-week vacation!  With five days spent in the mountains, and three at the beach it was literally one of the best vacations I have ever had.  I unplugged, got lots of rest, and even got some reading done (I’m obsessed with Game of Thrones right now).  Now that I’m back, I’m so excited to be blogging and sharing great design with you again.  Before I left for vacation, I had wanted to share with you some photos from an event I attended at Anthropologie in Philadelphia.  Well, there is no time like the present.  In May, the ladies of Anthology MagazineAnh-Minh Le, Meg Mateo Ilasco, and Joy Cho – hosted a lovely crafting event at the Anthropologie headquarters.

I have to admit I’m not the craftiest girl, but I truly enjoyed this fun evening where guests were invited to create their very own mobiles.

As you would expect, every aspect of the event was perfection.  Work tables were lined in pretty green paper, and spring floral displays were placed on top.  On each table, colorful latte bowls were filled with fun bits of paper to create a custom mobile.

I sat across from Andrea Pippins of Fly who was working on a mobile with metallic and neon pops of color.

And had fun running into Joy Cho of Oh Joy! and her little Ruby.  Isn’t she a doll!?

Here’s peek at the mobile I worked on.  It’s a special gift for my sister who is expecting a little one this fall.

The evening was such a blast.  If you’re not familiar with Anthology Magazine, be sure to look for it in your local Anthropologie.  It’s one of the absolute best design mags out there today.
