It’s wonderful when you learn about the person behind work you’ve admired online for some time. The image above is one I have seen before, and immediately fell in love with. Recently I found out that the styling was by Chicago-based set designer, Lauren Adel Klich.
For years Lauren has styled interiors for national publications including Ebony, INStyle, and Chicago Tribune Magazine, to name a few. Her style is polished, and so refreshing. With a cozy vibe, these are rooms that I would love to live in.
The elements she uses in her work are beautiful. I am loving the Thomas Paul rug hung as art on the wall, and the medicine ball casually placed on the green side chair. A great way to get across that this a cool, masculine interior.
In her spaces each piece can stand alone beautifully. Pieces like these white and chrome dining chairs and that magnificent hutch are beautiful on their own, and look even better together. Don’t you think?
Lauren’s brand of art direction and set design definitely appeals to me. I invite you to check out her work online for even more design inspiration.
