ILLUME Makes Mother’s Day Gift Giving Easy

The other day the prettiest package arrived from ILLUME. Filled with candles, sweet smelling soaps, and some mini-tins, I immediately fell in love with their new Go Be Lovely collection. Glass-engraved candle jars, soaps featuring the “go be lovely” tagline, pretty packaged lotions and perfumes all make this collection feel so special. And everything included is just perfect for mom. Already packaged beautifully for your Mother’s Day gift-giving, the only decision you have to make is deciding which sweet-smelling pieces you’ll want to give mom! Now, I have to decide – will it be Cactus Verde hand creme or Desert Tulip soaps? I don’t know. I think she will love them all!

Explore the entire collection and more gifts for mom over at ILLUME.

Our Favorite Floral Images On Pinterest

Earlier this week we were at a friend’s house and she had the most beautiful glass vase filled to the brim with white roses. In that moment, staring at that beautiful display of flowers, I immediately recognized that it actually is springtime, and the time of year has finally arrived when our homes should be filled with fresh flowers. From peonies, to roses, to ranunculus, this week seek out and buy a handful of your favorite flowers to add some vibrance to your interior, and make your space blossom with the beauty of spring.

Our Ideas For A Colorful and Sporty Super Bowl Party

Super Bowl Sunday is one of my favorite days of the year. Yes, I am one of those girls who loves football, has fantasy picks, and Sunday is sacred to me and only reserved for the best sport on earth. This year we are a house divided with the Mr. rooting for the Broncos and me a die-hard Seahawks fan. Despite our differences, we’ll still be throwing a fab party for friends and family. This year our Super Bowl party is going to be colorful and sporty, with a mix of pastels and some graphic black and white pieces. A perfect blend of masculine and feminine style. Check out the complete vision over at Keep. Oh yeah, and for Sunday, may the best team win (that means the Seahawks!).

In just a few quick steps, you’ll have a healthy side that you’ll want to make again, well after the holidays are over.

Step 1: Cut pears in half leaving skin intact

Step 2: Scoop out the core with a spoon

Step 3: Fill the core with your favorite granola

Step 4: Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Step 5: Place pears face-up in baking pan and bake for 15-20 minutes until pears are soft and granola is browned

Step 6: Drizzle pears with honey and serve it with your favorite yogurt
