5 Of The Freshest, Modern Wallpaper Brands At Heimtextil

Frankfurt is one of the world’s most modern and beautiful cities. The financial center of Europe, the city is also the host of one of the world’s largest home textile shows – Heimtextil. Bringing together vendors from around the globe, the show provides a unique look into the world of textile design, from drapery, to rugs, and even woven pieces for your walls.

One step into the show at Heimtextil, and we were whisked away, exploring textile designs from all parts of the world. And that was truly the fun part – taking a look at what’s interesting and distinctive about textiles from Asia, Africa and Europe. Through our tour of the show’s eleven halls, we discovered five absolutely amazing wallpaper brands that you may not have heard of yet, but that you’ll want to add to your little black book of interior decor. With designs ranging from moody florals, to fashion illustrations, and cool watercolor prints, these wallpaper patterns are truly original. Hailing from the Czech Republic, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Denmark, scroll through the slideshow above to see the five wallpaper brands that are sure to bring the perfect combination of modern design, femininity, and a a little bit of edge to your walls: Decor Maison, Rebel Walls, Fiona Wall Design, BN Wallcoverings, and Paper Joe.

Add Whimsy To Your Walls With Polka Dots

Polka dots have staying power. The dotty patterns have had many iterations over the last decade. Sometimes in funky shades, oversized patterns, and now they’re making their way into modern homes in classic neutrals. Black and white dots can be found in luxe living rooms, super-glam dining areas and adorable bathrooms. No matter what room they appear in, I love how the dotty pattern has the ability to add the perfect amount of whimsy to any space.

Make Your Own Wallpaper Using Your Favorite Photos

I love the idea of photo collages as a unique wallpaper option in the home. Favorite pages from a magazine, Prinstagrams, and some favorite selfies can be turned into a beautiful wall feature. Put a little washi tape to the test, and you can have a live-in Pinterest board. Here are a few of my favorite images to inspire a picture perfect photo collage.
